One of the most recognizable quotes about the beauty of Montana came from famed author John Steinbeck. He wrote;

I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana, it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.

Montana has been the setting for iconic movies, and some songwriters including John Denver and Adam Young (from Owl City) have written songs that express their love for Big Sky Country.

I was recently browsing the internet, and I came across an article about towns in Montana with really strange names, and Nimrod, a small town south of Glacier National Park was at the top of the list. When I saw it, I immediately thought of an album with the same name by Green Day. The band released Nimrod in 1997.
