Fun, Food, And Great Memories. It’s Fair Season In Montana
While I didn't grow up in Montana, I did grow up in a town that hosted a State Fair.
The kids would count down the days each year, while the adults would complain about all the traffic from the out-of-towners. You knew it was getting close to Fair time when you would see the State Workers driving around town, making sure that the grass was mowed, the flowers were planted, and all the other things they would do to "beautify" the town.

My first "real" job as a kid was working at an ice cream stand at the State Fair. For 3 years, I would go to the Fairgrounds, get in my booth, and sling ice cream to all those who wanted it. (Let me tell you something, there's nothing like the education you get when you're 14 years old and you're working with a bunch of traveling Carnies.)
Here in Montana, we have several Fairs happening over the summer months. There's the Montana State Fair in Great Falls, then the Big Sky Country State Fair in Bozeman. We have the Montana Fair that takes place in Billings, and the Western Montana State Fair that happens each year in Missoula.
Not to mention all the town and county Fairs across the Treasure State.

Call me a big kid, but I love spending time at a Fair. The smells, the displays, the petting zoo, the live entertainment, it's all part of the fun. Check out our list below of the best attractions at Fairs in Montana.
