Comfort Food Anyone? This Dish Was Named Most Popular In Montana.

There's no shortage of culinary creations when it comes to Montana.

We Montanans love our foods, whether we're cooking something over an open flame while camping in the great outdoors, or if we're sitting down to enjoy a 5 Star meal at one of our state's upscale restaurants, we certainly have options.

The truth is food is something that brings people together.  No matter your beliefs, backgrounds, or personalities, most of us can all sit down and enjoy a meal together even if we don't always see eye to eye.

Of course, sometimes you need a little comfort and it seems that the only thing that'll do is your favorite comfort food.  You know what I'm talking about, that dish that makes a horrible day better, or a good day great.

So what do Montanans pick as their favorite comfort food? Which food do we turn to when we want to feel better about ourselves, and our surroundings, or just want to indulge a little? The delicious Pork Chop Sandwich?  The irresistible Pasty? Or, how about a heavenly slice of Huckleberry Pie?

Actually, none of the above.

According to Mashed, when it comes to our favorite comfort food, Montanans choose Frybread Tacos. I mean, who doesn't love a frybread taco, right?  You've got the actual frybread, then you pile on a bunch of delicious meat, plus all of your favorite taco toppings.  I'm starting to salivate just thinking about it.

But there's only one issue.  They're not the easiest dish to find.

It seems that unless there's a carnival, fair, or some sort of food festival, you might have to put a little effort into your search to grab a frybread taco. You can always go old school and do the homemade route, but if you're anything like me, they always seem to taste better when made by a pro.
