Did you now that Bozeman had a different ski hill before Bridger Bowl? If not, you're not alone. I had no idea either.

My landlord is somewhat of an expert when it comes to Montana history, and he informed me that Bozeman's first ski hill was actually up Bear Canyon. I took a drive on Sunday to go check it out, and sure enough, there it was. The old ski lift is still there, but all of the chairs are gone. There were signs posted all over that say "Closed To Public Recreation Use."

So, you can't really ski there any more but it was still really cool to learn a little bit about Bozeman's history
