Summer in Montana means Rodeo and one of the biggest and best is returning to Bozeman.

For several years, the Bozeman Stampede has brought thousands of cowboys and cowgirls to town to perform in front of tens of thousands of rodeo fans. It's one of the biggest events to hit Bozeman each year and tickets go fast, with sell-outs happening almost every night.

This year will be the 14th Annual Bozeman Stampede and tickets are available online and at your local Murdoch's.

When does the Bozeman Stampede take place?

This year's Bozeman Stampede kicks off on Thursday, August 8th, and will continue through Saturday the 10th. The Stampede will take place at the Gallatin Country Fairgrounds with the gates opening at 6 pm each night and the action kicking off at 7 pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

One of the highlights of the Bozeman Stampede is the fact that they give back to the local community. The Stampede has three different groups that they donate to.

  • MSU Bobcat Rodeo
  • Gallatin Valley 4-H
  • Bridger High School Rodeo

Over the years, the Stampede has donated over 200,000 thousand dollars to the three organizations.

What events will take place at the Bozeman Stampede?

Along with all of the traditional rodeo events like bull riding, bronc busting, and calf roping, there'll be a couple of special things happening during the Bozeman Stampede including the Bull Scramble and Mutton Busting.
