The new Field & Stream Hotel, formerly the 3 Rivers Hotel in Bozeman, has officially opened its doors. Good news this isn’t just any hotel with your standard corporate vibe. It’s the first Field & Stream hotel in the entire country, and they chose Bozeman to kick it all off. If that doesn’t say something about how Montana embodies the outdoor lifestyle, I don’t know what does.

The grand opening party is happening Wednesday, October 1st, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and yes, there will be live music, food, drinks, and all the extras to make it feel like more than just another ribbon cutting. But the real story here is that Field & Stream has stepped into hospitality with a very Montana point of view. Fire pits, outdoor vibes, and a focus on inspiring guests to actually get outside instead of just looking at the mountains from a hotel window.

Field & Stream isn’t new to the outdoor game. The brand has been around for over 150 years, synonymous with hunting, fishing, and a love of the wild. So it kind of makes sense that when they decided to branch into hotels, they headed to Montana. Especially Bozeman, with its trailheads, rivers, and ski slopes, was the natural first choice.

The hotel itself is designed to feel nostalgic but practical, a place for outdoor folks who’d rather trade generic hotel decor for something that nods to the culture of the West. This opening feels less like a national chain swooping in and more like a company trying to do Montana the Montana way.
