On a windy day at Bobcat Stadium, Montana State beat Portland St 30-22. The win puts the Bobcats at 2-1 in the Big Sky Conference for the first time in 3 years.

Montana State racked up 403 rushing yards against the Vikings but only 9 total yards in passing on a day that favored the running game. The Bobcats didn't complete a pass after the first quarter. Quarterback Chris Murray rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bobcats on offense.

The Bobcats are now 2-3 overall on the season. They'll travel to E. Washington next Saturday for an important Big Sky Conference game against the Eagles. Montana State will return home in a couple of weeks for the Cap on Cancer game against Idaho State on Oct 28th.
