It was a sold out crowd for the Gold Rush game on Saturday, and the Montana State Bobcats made it an exciting game against the 4th ranked South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Trailing 24-7 nearly halfway through the 3rd quarter, the Bobcats fought their way back before eventually losing 31-27.

Montana State quarterback Chris Murray had his best game as a Bobcat. Murray was 23-42 for 310 yards. He also threw 4 TD passes and only 1 interception. He also ran for 107 yards. The Bobcat offense ended up with 490 total yards against South Dakota State

The loss puts the Bobcats at 0-2 on the season. They have a bye this Saturday. There next game is at North Dakota on Saturday, September 23.
