Bobcat Football season is still a few months out, but let’s be real—it’s never too early to get fired up. In Montana, there are a few things people take seriously: the weather forecast, rodeo start times, and when the Bobcats play.

If you’ve been in this state for more than five minutes, you already know that Montana State Football isn’t just a sport—it’s practically a second religion. And one of the biggest moments in recent Bobcat history came back in November 2022, when ESPN’s College GameDay rolled into Bozeman. That was a huge deal.

On November 19, 2022, GameDay covered the 121st Brawl of the Wild—Montana State vs. Montana—in front of a packed home crowd. The rivalry runs deep, and if you need a quick reminder, the Cats dominated that game with a 55–21 win. That event also marked the first time ESPN College GameDay had ever featured a Big Sky Conference campus. A proud day for Bobcat fans across the country.

While we may not be getting the full GameDay treatment again this season, we are getting another national spotlight. It was just announced that Montana State will be featured on ESPN again this year.
