The Big Sky Fire Department is sending an engine and 4 firefighters to Los Angeles County to assist in fighting the wildfires currently burning there. B.S.F.D. is part of a contingent from Montana that also includes the Central Valley Fire Department from Belgrade.

The firefighters from Big Sky are expected to be in California for a couple of weeks. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated, so far, in Southern California.

The University of Montana had their game with UCLA in Los Angeles canceled on Wednesday because of the fires. There are currently 4 major fires burning in Southern California.
