The Ultimate Montana Itinerary, According To AI
I thought it would be fun to see what happens when you put artificial intelligence in charge of planning the “perfect” Montana vacation. You’d think it might miss the mark, but surprisingly, ChatGPT had a pretty good handle on what makes the Treasure State so special.
We Asked AI to Plan a Perfect Trip to Montana. Here's What It said...
The AI kicked things off in Bozeman, which honestly makes sense. Between the easy airport access and the fact that downtown is lined with good food, coffee shops, and gear stores, it’s a natural starting point. It suggested grabbing breakfast at a local café, then hitting up the Museum of the Rockies before heading out to explore.
From there, the itinerary moves toward Big Sky for hiking or mountain biking in the summer, or skiing if you’re here in the winter. Next stop: Yellowstone National Park. Of course. No trip to Montana is complete without bison jams, geysers, and hopefully a bear sighting if you’re lucky.
AI then steered the trip north, up toward Missoula for a slower-paced college-town vibe, with fly fishing on the Clark Fork or Blackfoot Rivers.
The grand finale? Glacier National Park. AI recommended driving Going-to-the-Sun Road, which is about as iconic as it gets, with jaw-dropping mountain views and plenty of chances to spot mountain goats.

Now, no itinerary is perfect, but I’ve got to give AI credit here, it managed to capture the big highlights while mixing it up. Would you follow this trip plan, or would you change it up? Let us know HERE.
