Bigfork, Montana is a small town on the east shore on Flathead Lake in Flathead County. For most of the year, Bigfork is just a small lake/mountain town with a population of around 4,500 people.

That all changes during the holidays. Bigfork literally transforms into a winter wonderland. Bigfork is known as "Montana's Christmas Village," and here's why.

Bigfork has been listed in many travel magazines as one of the 50 great towns of the west. Annually, Bigfork's snow level is well above the national average. You can almost guarantee that you'll have a white Christmas every year in Bigfork. In addition to that, every year the entire town of Bigfork gets involved to cover the small town in Christmas decorations. There are many outdoors activities to take part in, including cross country skiing and dog sledding.
