The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of southwest Montana 9 p.m. Tuesday evening through 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

With this advisory we can expect:

  • 1 to 4 inches of snow in the valleys
  • 5 to 10 inches of snow in the higher elevations
  • Strong winds gusting up to 30 mph
  • Patchy blowing snow
  • Slippery road conditions
  • Low visibility
  • Difficult travel especially for mountain passes

The winter storm will also be affecting central, north-central, and west-central Montana.
