The Bozeman Police Department, along with the support of the Bozeman Police Protective Association, has teamed up with Target to sponsor the first ever Shop-With-A-Cop event this weekend.

Two children from each Bozeman elementary school were selected to participate in their inaugural Shop-With-A-Cop event. Each child will be matched with a Bozeman police officer to buy gifts for the child, their family and friends.

The Bozeman Police Protective Association (BPPA) is made up of 58 police officers, from the newest officers up to Sergeants.

Funding for the BPPA primarily comes from the association members’ own financial contributions. The BPPA regularly donates their time and dues to various local charities to include the MT Special Olympics and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Montana (CASA).

This is a great way to work with children who may not have the same opportunities as others in our community, as well as the chance for these kids to experience a positive one-on-one experience with the officers of the department.
