I went to the logo unveiling today, and although it's getting mixed reviews, MSU officials say it was time.  The last logo was unveiled in 2004.

Several coaches, assistant coaches, the athletic department and the public were on hand.

MSU President Waded Cruzado said there have been exciting changes at MSU, and the new logo represents those changes.

Universal Athletics, Shirt Works and the MSU Bookstore had new gear on display.

Peter Fields talked about the process, saying "Our coaches and student-athletes are enjoying an era of tremendous and dynamic success, and we want our logo and marks to reflect this." Our new logo captures a feeling of action while staying true to what was originally called the Aggie spirit when this school adopted the Bobcat nickname nearly a century ago. Campus leaders then cited a blending of tradition with action, and that's what we think we captured."

Coach Ash talked about how it would affect the football team, the field, and the uniforms.

But most importantly to my son, Matthew...he got to see Champ!
