Critical Fire Weather Conditions look increasingly possible for Tuesday.

Westerly winds gusting to 35 mph with relative humidity values in the teens are expected across the area Tuesday afternoon.

Late Tuesday afternoon a strong cold front with northerly winds gusting to at least 35 mph will sweep through the region.

Colder air and precipitation are expected to push into the area late Tuesday night.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Tuesday and Tuesday night for all of South Central and Southeast Montana.

The latest forecasts are hinting that precipitation may be much less than what was previously expected with this system Tuesday night and Wednesday.

However, the colder air looks on track and additional chances for precipitation remain for Friday and then again toward the end of next weekend.
