Some sad news to report this morning: Richard Griffiths, who co-starred in the 'Harry Potter' films as Vernon Dursley, has died following heart surgery in London. He was 65.

I'm a huge Science Fiction fan and Ender's Game is my most anticipated movie of 2013. I never enjoyed reading novels until I picked up Orson Scott Card's hit Ender's Game. As soon as I put the book down, I hoped someone would make it into a movie. Over ten years later my wish will come true!

We're going to take a moment to pretend we live in a world where these are movies that were actually made. The blog Thumbs and Ammo is comprised exclusively of stills taken from violent movies. Only the guns have been replaced with one or both thumbs up. Does this mean they were all comedies? Maybe just heartwarming tales of affirmation? Either way, they're hilarious.

For the second week in a row, 'Oz the Great and Powerful' lived up to its title and dominated the box office. One of the newcomers managed to fare surprisingly well in the face of Sam Raimi's blockbuster...but another simply got crushed.

Opening this weekend are 1) a star-studded comedy about dueling magicians in Las Vegas, and 2) a thriller about a kidnapped girl and a killer on the loose.

After a series of increasingly dire weeks at the box office, 'Oz the Great and Powerful' arrived and shook things up in a major way, earning the first truly massive opening weekend of 2013 and setting the table for all kinds of Oz-related content in the near future. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is something that we'll let you judge.

Jana Kramer's acting career is nearly as red hot as her country music career and her relationship with fiance Brantley Gilbert. The singer and actress stars in the upcoming 'Heart of the Country,' a dramatic and romantic film in which her character is forced to dig deep and take a long, hard look at her heart in order to remember what's truly important.
