I have started to notice that young girls' clothing seems to be getting 'sexier.'  My nine year old, Emma, is more horrified than I am!  I showed my middle girly girl, Gracie, a picture of Miley Cyrus.  I said, 'you would never dress like that, would you?'  Her answer, 'of course I would!'  Yikes.

I remember in High School, coming down the stairs, and my Dad saying, 'try again.'  I plan on watching my kids, and making sure they are appropriate, just like my parents did.  There was no sneaking clothes to school and changing.  MY PARENTS KNEW EVERYTHING!   I was never the kid that would do that anyway.  I am, and will always be, a rule follower.

This new study, published in the journal Sex Roles, found that of the 5,666 clothing items studied, 69 percent of the clothing had only childlike characteristics.

What about you?  Do you think kids clothes have gotten too sexy?  Do you have fights with your kids over their clothes?  My biggest fight is making sure they don't look like clowns when they walk out the door for school.  I am going to treasure it as long as I can!
