Josh Turner made a dream come true for a very special young man on Tuesday night (May 28). The bass-voiced singer invited a young musician with autism to join him onstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to perform his signature hit, 'Long Black Train.'
All Josh Turner's three sons know is music. While their father is one of country music's hottest male stars, their mother is also very musical, playing piano and singing background vocals for her husband. So life on the road is nothing new to Hampton (6), Colby (3) and Marion, who turned two on Dec. 12.
On Thursday night's (Sept. 20) North Carolina audition episode of 'X Factor,' Willie Jones -- a 17-year-old Louisiana native wearing an acid-washed denim vest and jeans and a boxtop Afro -- opened the show with a surprising and sensational rendition of Josh Turner's 'Your Man.'
Next year, Josh Turner will celebrate his first decade in country music, and he’ll do it with millions of albums sold, nine top 40 singles, a pile of CMA and Grammy Awards nominations, and membership in the Grand Ole Opry.
That’s not a bad way to spend 10 years doing what you love — and Turner won’t start resting on his laurels now. In fact, he’s already deep into his next album.
