Portions of Montana's are getting pummeled with nasty winds Tuesday. A High Wind Warning is currently in effect for some counties and High Wind Watches are in effect for others. Some areas to the west are also dealing with dangerous avalanche conditions.

Saturday and Sunday will very unpleasant at times for Montana travel, especially through almost all of our mountain passes and high elevation in general. Heavy bands of snow combined with 50+ MPH winds are expected at times which will drop visibility to near zero. Conditions are going to fluctuate rapidly in dozens of Montana counties.

Over a foot of snow along with 60+ MPH winds are possible along the southern Montana Idaho border through Saturday morning. Dangerous driving conditions will occur with the mountain passes getting the brunt of this storm.

Extremely gusty winds and high temperatures will create dangerous conditions across most of Montana throughout Monday. Expect wind gusts up to 65 MPH and temperatures in the 90s and triple digits.

Whoa. Cut Bank, Browning, Heart Butte, and Choteau are going to see some crazy wind gusts through Friday morning. Please use extra caution if you're traveling through any of these areas.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning, which is in effect until noon Thursday, for the Livingston area and Beartooth foothills.

There is a high wind warning in effect until midnight tonight.  Gusts around 70 miles per hour have already been reported around the Pine Creek area.
