Bold action by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks in hopes of containing the spread of a parasite blamed for the recent fish kill on the Yellowstone River.

Forest officials instituted a public safety emergency closure for the Teepee Creek Trailhead and portions of the Teepee Creek Trail (Forest Service Trail # 39) today due to a grizzly bear foraging on a carcass near the trail head.

On Thursday (Feb 14, 2013), the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission proposed keeping a portion of the Yellowstone River in the Livingston area closed if hazardous conditions persist due to ongoing construction on the Park Street Bridge.

Conditions at Ennis and Valley Garden Fishing Access Sites continue to pose safety hazards. Water and ice from the Madison River continues to flood and collect at each of the sites. They will remain closed to the public until further notice...

With the 'KPRK bridge being closed and normal detours through Livingston not availlable, the weather event that is slated to begin late tomorrow will cause travel concerns.

Local traffic is being allowed through, but can't get passed Greek Creek Culvert on 191, due to the water over the road...
