October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we want to not only raise awareness about breast cancer, but to impact the lives of local women who are going through chemo therapy right now.
Aspen Roots is a club from Bozeman High School made of a group of students dedicated to raising awareness for the Cancer Support Community. They are holding a benefit concert Friday May 17th 2013 featuring bands and musicians from the high school. There will be a silent auction of jewelry, pottery and gift certificates from area businesses.
Cancer affects the entire family and that is why The Cancer Support Community works so hard to help the entire family when it comes to cancer support. So sign up to go and enjoy a weekend with your family and get support from fellow families that are dealing with cancer. This camp is offered free of charge.
Kid support is a 10 week peer support group for kids in our area, age 4 to 12, who have a parent, grandparent, other family member or friend with cancer, or for children who have cancer themselves.
Using a variety of art activities, poems, stories, cartoons and games, children are able to get support, ask questions, express difficult feelings and share common experiences that will help them better
