The annual Sweet Pea Festival is this weekend in Lindley Park in Bozeman. Three days of music, vendors, food and fun. Here is what you need to know about this year's festival:

Music

Friday - Shakey Graves kicks off this year’s music lineup at 8 p.m. Friday evening. The Texas-based musician mixes country, blues and rock and roll to form a unique energetic sound, that makes you want to just get up and dance. If you like grooving to the beat, Shakey Graves is a must see act. Get ready for him to captivate your attention with his musical and stage performance.

Saturday night’s headliner is Anderson East is performing with a full horn section. The Alabama native plays his interpretation of American rhythm and blues pop, creating a funky sound all his own. Anderson East forms new music from old influences, drawing from artists such as Aretha Franklin, Amos Lee and the Rolling Stones. As described in Rolling Stone Magazine, East “can sing the blues with a sultry, countrified growl… Evoking a twangier Ray LaMontagne or Amos Lee with notes of plaintive Ryan Adams, he’s forming a sound all his own.”

Closing out the music stage @ 3:30 on Sunday is The Turnpike Troubadours are a Red Dirt country group from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. If you missed them at Red Ants Pants Festival here’s your chance to see and hear their rowdy, quick-witted sound.

Children’s Activities

Sweet Pea’s Children’s Activities are an opportunity to release the budding artist from within your child! Here’s the list of things happening in the children’s activity area: Woodworking, Face Painting, Mural, Maracas, Easel Art, Paper Weaving, Butterflies, Origami, Tie Dying (bring your own item to tie dye), Sistrum, Dream Catchers, Stomp Rockets. Bring your kids and check it out. Activity stations are open 12:00-3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, near the Family Stage.
