Mommy Memos

I am sitting in a clean, quiet house right now.  Sure, there are a million things I could be doing...painting, laundry, cooking and organizing...but Moms, how often does something like this happen?  The t.v. is off, and I am wrapped up in a blanket by the fire.  I am not telling you this to make you jealous, but to encourage you to do the same!  Sometimes I will just clean up what I can see and pretend the house is clean.  I will send the kids downstairs to play video games and eat junk food, just so I can have a moment to myself.  You know how much I love my kids...they are my life!  But I find I appreciate them more when I am away from them for just a little while.  In a couple of hours the girls will be home, and it's going to be crazy...loud and wild, with everyone asking me for something.  Now, I am ready for it!  In fact, I can't wait to see their little faces!
