A man is dead after a vehicle fire this morning in Belgrade.

Central Valley Fire Department received a call at around 6:44 a.m. Tuesday of a vehicle fire in a residential driveway on 8th Street near the intersection of Frontage Road, Central Valley Fire Marshal Art Castricone said. A neighbor came out to leave for work and saw that the inside of the car was on fire, Castricone said.

A single engine responded from Central Valley. Responders discovered a deceased male in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The body was removed and the fire extinguished.

The coroner’s office took possession of the body this morning. The incident has been turned over to Belgrade Police and the Gallatin County Coroner’s Office.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the fire, Castricone said.
