This Big Road Construction Project Will Be A Headache
This new road project will be a nuisance for many locals during the summer.
Montana Road Construction
It's that time of year.
With the weather warming and snow melting, Montana is getting ready to start road construction projects across the state.
Some of these projects are small, but several are massive and will take months to complete.
The Montana Department of Transportation is trying to start some projects with the nice weather and start projects immediately.
Why? The sooner they start, the sooner they can finish.
Locals hate road construction. It takes forever to drive through and can be a headache if you're on a time crunch.
Well, a new road project is starting soon, and the folks of Bozeman will have to deal with it for months.
Bozeman Pass Road Construction
You might have to change your plans a bit if you're going to deal with this.
Montana Right Now reports that the Montana Department of Transportation will start a massive eleven-mile road construction project between Bozeman and Livingston.
This project will last all summer.
Why? The road project includes removing and replacing asphalt, new signs, new rumble strips, upgraded guard rails, and more.
Several on and off-ramps will be affected throughout the process, which could lead to closures for periods.
The MDT will limit traffic to one lane on both sides of the Bozeman Pass and reduce speed limits for safety concerns.
The Bozeman Pass handles a lot of summer traffic, with folks coming to and from Bozeman or Livingston and heading to Paradise Valley or Yellowstone.
What can you do?
Be prepared and maybe try to leave earlier than planned.

The project starts Monday, April 14th.
