Butte just earned a well-deserved spot on a list of the 10 Most Quirky Towns in Montana, and honestly, it’s about time someone said it out loud.

Butte’s the kind of place that wears its history on its sleeve and on its hilltops. Where else can you visit a full-blown underground mining tour in the morning, hike to a 90-foot Virgin Mary statue by lunch, and chow down on a pasty while watching folk dancers downtown by evening?

Nowhere.

Still not convinced?

Let’s take a stroll down Main Street. You’ll find neon signs straight out of the '40s, a bed and breakfast that used to belong to one of the richest men in America, and a Chinese restaurant that’s been open since 1911—serving up chow mein and egg rolls before most Montana towns even had sidewalks.

And don’t even get us started on the Montana Folk Festival. Three days. Zero dollars. A million vibes.

Butte is loud, proud, weird in all the right ways, and totally unfiltered. It's a town that doesn't try to impress you—it just is. And that’s exactly why it ends up on lists like this.
