The Gallatin City-County Board of Health has set a special meeting for Thursday morning (Feb 4th) at 7 a.m. The Board will discuss and decide upon potentially extending and amending the local emergency health rule related to restrictions on certain businesses.

Written public comments need to be submitted by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3rd through the button below or by emailing BOHPublicComment@gallatin.mt.gov. Comments will also be taken during the virtual meeting.

Coronavirus numbers continue to remain on the decrease here in Gallatin County. The current 7-Day rolling average of new COVID-19 cases is down to 39, according to the latest date from the health department. At it's peak in mid-November that number was at 186.

Hospitalizations also remain below double-digits. As of February 2nd, eight people were hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Montana COVID cases are also on the decline. In fact, Gallatin County is almost mirroring the state. Both experienced a peak in coronavirus cases in mid-November when a steady decline since. As of February 2nd, Montana's 7-Day rolling average was at 317. On November 20 that number was 1292.
