Garage Door Opener Happiness!

I bought my house close to 5 years ago, and it’s needed a lot of fixing up.  I am chipping away at it one piece at a time, and last night was a MAJOR deal for me.  I HAVE A GARAGE DOOR OPENER!  Now, I know this may seem petty to some, but think of it – every day at least twice a day you are out in the weather opening and closing your garage door.  AND, to make matters worse – I also don’t have any gutters (another summer to do item), so the water drips right down on you while you try to open it.  Add a 4:30am alarm clock to the mix and some days it’s not pretty!

Last night I came home and saw such a beautiful sight, the view of my garage door opener going up and down, by the push of a button.  Ross and his friends Nathan & Cameron had completely hooked it up, and it was working perfectly.  I admit – I did go out and push the button – a bunch of times.

As I left this morning with a smile on my face, I sat and watched the garage door close and thought to myself –   It really is the small things in life!
