In preparation for the 8th annual 'Ressler Toyota XL Country Cares Radiothon,' XL morning host Tom Jordan and XL afternoon host Erin Phillips are spending this weekend in Memphis, Tennessee at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The 2011 radiothon will take place March 10th & 11th.

Several hundred representatives from country radio stations around the United States have joined country music industry representatives and country artists this weekend for the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® seminar in Memphis, Tennessee.

This is the 22nd year the seminar has been held to help prepare radio representatives for their Country Cares radiothons in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Country Cares is one of the nation's largest radio fundraising programs, having raised more than $385 million for St. Jude since the program began in 1989.

The program was created by Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Owen, who appealed to his fellow country music artists, radio stations and loyal country music listeners to help support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.

This year's seminar continues that legacy of caring with more than 800 radio station personnel and executives expected to attend the information sessions on planning successful radiothons. They will also tour the hospital and hear from patients and their families. A star-studded lineup of country music artists, including Owen, will also visit the hospital and share their visions of hope for the children of St. Jude through interviews, recorded appeals and radiothon call-ins.
