A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM MST this afternoon. Timing and main impact: periods of snow can be expected across southwest Montana today. A brief period of moderate to heavy
snowfall and gusty winds is expected to occur for 1 to 2 hours later this morning as a strong cold front moves through the region. The snow will diminish to snow showers Saturday afternoon.

Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected in the mountains. Valley locations... including the Bozeman... Dillon and Ennis areas should see 1 to 3 inches. Winds and visibility: gusty south winds will shift to the west by late Saturday morning. A period of wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph will create reduced visibilities in areas of falling and blowing snow. Visibilities could briefly be reduced to near one quarter of a mile at times this morning.
