The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is now in effect until 11 am MST Saturday.

Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected in the valleys with 6 to 12 inches of snow across higher elevations including the West Yellowstone and Big Sky
areas.  Winds and visibility: strong westerly winds of 25 to 35 mph will cause areas of blowing snow... reducing visibilities to less than one half mile at times.

* Other impacts: roadways will become snow-covered and slippery
causing hazardous travel conditions.

* Locations affected include: Battle Ridge Pass... Bozeman...
Bozeman Pass... Targhee Pass... West Yellowstone... Ennis... Norris
Hill... Raynolds Pass... Twin Bridges... Big Hole Pass... Chief
Joseph Pass... Dillon... Monida Pass.
