Winter Weather Advisory Above 6000′ [UPDATED 11am FRIDAY]
A Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 11 am MST Saturday for elevations above 6000 feet.Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches are expected with accumulations of 8 to 12 inches across higher elevations of eastern Madison and southern Gallatin counties. Snow accumulations in the lower valleys should total around an inch.
Winds and visibility: strong westerly winds of 25 to 35 mph
will cause areas of blowing snow… reducing visibilities to
less than one half mile at times.
* Other impacts: roadways will become snow-covered and slippery
causing hazardous travel conditions.
* Locations affected include: Battle Ridge Pass… Targhee
Pass… West Yellowstone… Raynolds Pass… Big Hole Pass…
Chief Joseph Pass… Monida Pass
