The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 5 am Friday to 5 am MST Saturday.

Timing and main impact: light snow will develop over central and
southwest Montana on Friday morning. Expect periods of light
snow to then continue Friday afternoon and into Friday night.

* Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches
can be expected at lower elevations... and 4 to 8 inches in the
mountains.

* Visibility: visibilities will be reduced to less than one mile
at times in areas of falling snow.

* Other impacts: expect untreated roadways to be snow covered and
slippery.

* Locations affected include: White Sulphur Springs... Battle Ridge
Pass... Bozeman... Bozeman Pass... Targhee Pass... West
Yellowstone... Stanford... Big Hole Pass... Chief Joseph Pass...
Dillon... Monida Pass... Boulder... Boulder Hill... Elk Park
Pass... Homestake pass... Whitehall... Great Falls... Kings Hill
Pass... Townsend... Flesher Pass... Helena... Lincoln... MacDonald
