Wichita State continued its Cinderella run, advancing to the West Regional final with a win over La Salle on Thursday.

Carl Hall had 16 points and eight rebounds, and ninth-seeded Wichita State beat 13th-seeded La Salle, 72-58, in the 2013 NCAA tournament's West Regional semifinals in Los Angeles on Thursday night. The Shockers started the game with a 17-3 run thanks to an overwhelming rebounding advantage. They out-rebounded the undersized Explorers 43-24 on the game. Malcolm Armstead had a game-high 18 points for Wichita State, which advanced to play Ohio State in the West Regional final on Saturday. Tyrone Garland and Jerrell Wright paced La Salle with 16 points each. The Explorers shot just 36 percent from the field for the game.
