Blake Shelton on Tuesday teased the title track off his upcoming CD ‘Red River Blue,’ which features vocals from his brand-new wife, Miranda Lambert.

It’s a relatively melancholy song, about a man who loses his woman, and fans might be surprised to hear the happily married couple sing about such a sensitive topic.

But according to Taste of Country, Shelton says the song was actually written for them, after the “few times when we broke up for like a week, way back in the day. It’s about a relationship falling apart and he has to take the blame. Miranda and I have lived that song a bunch of times. It is very special. I could not think of a better title.”

‘Red River Blue’ hits stores on July 12.
