Bozeman’s newest brewery opened on Main Street yesterday and of course we had to check it out.

White Dog Brewing is located at 121 W. Main St. and occupies the space that formerly housed Schnee’s. It’s also situated next to Bozeman Spirits Distillery.

So far, White Dog has four beers on tap: IPA, amber ale, APA and blonde ale. More are on their way, according to the bartender. A flight is served up on a wood plank. If you sit at the bar, you can chill your glasses on the frost rail.

Other details speak to the local history. Bricks from the original Lehrkind Brewery were used to construct the brick bar top. Behind the bar is a large, Montana-shaped mirror.

White Dog is open from noon to 8 p.m.
