Vending Machines Aren’t Popular Anymore

Tell that to my kids!  And me!

I still love vending machines.   I used to love the hot chocolate vending machines.  Do you remember the sandwich ones, and the sandwiches looked and tasted like they had been in there for years?

Anyhoo, back to the subject.  Traditional vending machines disappeared from 134,000 locations between 2007 and 2010, according to the latest available data from Vending Times, an industry publication.

Sales from vending machines sank more than 11%, to $42.2 billion in the same period.
