Vacation Blues – Colleen At The Ridge
I had the best vacation (except for the fact that my kids weren't with me and I will never leave them for 5 nights again)!
I have been working so hard with Annie and The Ridge Athletic Club to get back in shape. I thought about exercising while I was in Jamaica. Actually, I did pool aerobics the first day, but that's it. I did drink lots of fruity rum drinks. Does that count as my serving of fruit?
The breakfast was amazing. I just had a plate piled with fresh mango and papaya. I also ate as much seafood as I could find. Did I mention I had alot of fruity, high calorie rum drinks? Then I got home and was sick. I don't know about you, but I never lost my appetite. I was craving mac and cheese and bread.
I would like to welcome the 5 pounds I gained in the last week. Yikes. I know Annie will help work it off of me, and I am not going to worry about it. I think that's key in changing your way of life, and trying to lose weight. We all have those days, or in my case, those weeks! There is no way I could go to an all inclusive resort and stick to my way of life. I don't say diet, even though diet really means what you eat. I think it has a negative connotation, and I don't think anyone should go on a "diet." That's just my opinion!
I came home sick. Not a shocker, because I get sick every time I fly. I have taken a few extra days off of exercising, and am ready to get back to it. Also, I don't feel as tan as I could be, so I may hit the tanning booth at The Ridge, or the Spa, or the treat counter that serves delicious coffees!
I love The Ridge, it's kind of one stop shopping for the body and mind. I hope to see you there!
