We all knew this was going to happen after the end of the court case with Tim and his now former label Curb Records!

Country megastar Tim McGraw says he plans to release a Christmas song next week and another single at the beginning of 2012. In a recent statement, McGraw said the holiday single, ‘Christmas All Over the World,’ will hit radio airwaves next week. This is especially noteworthy as it closely follows the court decision allowing the artist to pursue record labels other than Curb, with whom he has been recording for more than 20 years.

Speaking of his record ‘Emotional Traffic,’ which he completed in the fall of 2010 but won’t be released by Curb until Jan. 17, 2012, McGraw said, “I fought very hard for the release of ‘Emotional Traffic,’ it’s an album full of music of which I am very proud. It’s extremely unfortunate that it wasn’t released earlier this year in conjunction with the Emotional Traffic tour but all I want to do now is focus on the positive and look to the future.”

McGraw adds that he’s excited about the new music he’s recording now, saying he can “hardly wait” to share his new single with everyone. “I am so appreciative of the support I’ve received over the years, and I’m looking forward to this next chapter of my career,” said the singer.

The artist still has to go to court in July to face Curb in a trial that will determine whether McGraw breached his contract with the label by completing his record early. Experts are estimating that the damages in the case could add up to as much as tens of millions of dollars.
