There’s Nothing Like Mom’s Home Cookin’
Moms are notorious for making delicious home-cooked meals. One of the things I've missed most since I moved to Montana is my mom's cooking.
My parents were in town over the weekend. They left this morning, and I honestly haven't missed home this much since I moved here. My parents are wonderful people, and it was great spending time with them, and showing them around the Bozeman area.
Having them here made me realize how much I missed home. From huckleberry pancakes to green beans cooked with bacon, my mom's cooking is unparalleled.
Before my parents left, my mom made up some of her famous shepherd's pie so that I'd have something for dinner after she left. Her shepherd's pie is one of my favorite things in the world. I could literally eat it every day for the rest of my life.
What are some of your favorite home-cooked meals? Is there something that your mom makes that's the best simply because she makes it? I'd love to hear about it! Jesse@xlcountry.com.
