It's sad that we need a place like this, but we do.  There are many homeless people in our area, and that includes children.

The Warming Center has found a new home at the corner of Industrial Drive and Griffin, in the old Thompson Rental Building.  It will be open from November 15th through the end of march.  This is a much bigger space than at the Fairgrounds, with separate quarters for men, women and families.  There is a common room with computers for people looking for jobs.

The Warming Center is funded completely by community donations, so HRDC is holding a fundraiser today (Sat. Nov. 10).  You'll see flying signs all over town, asking for donations.  If you see these volunteers, please stop and give them some spare change, or maybe even more, if you can!
