After a tragedy everyone wants to help, and there are a lot of ways you can help.  But you need to be careful where you start to send your money.  Sadly some people try to cash in on tragedy.  If you see a random Facebook post that says "text this number and you can donate to help the victims," be a little leery.  The best ways to donate are to go to a legitimate donation website.   One of the biggest problems was all of the displaced runners that didn't catch flights or have a way to get home.  That problem is a hard one for us in Montana to help with.

So be careful where you donate!

The Red Cross says the best way to help right now is to get in touch with loved ones through its Safe And Well Listings. The organization is not asking for blood donations at this time.
