The Band Perry truly shot onto the spotlight in the past year, perhaps so quickly that it seems most surreal to them. At the Grammy ceremony Sunday, they performed a tribute to Glen Campbell, singing his ‘Gentle on My Mind’ and then joining the legend and Blake Shelton for the classic ‘Rhinestone Cowboy.’ With that impressive performance behind them, the sibling trio are getting ready for their first headlining Nashville show.

Feb. 20 the Band Perry will be claiming the stage of the iconic Ryman Auditorium, and the show sold out so quickly and so unexpectedly (to the band) that they didn’t even have time to snatch up tickets for their friends and family.

“We actually put the tickets on the sale for our Ryman show in February six months in advance because we were like, ‘We’ve gotta sell every one of them,’” Kimberly Perry said in a press release from their Republic Nashville label. The advance sale date was entirely unnecessary, however, as the show completely sold out the first day. Thinking back, Kimberly says it was a monumental point in the young band’s career.

“Folks keep saying, ‘What was like your favorite moment of the whole year?’ and I’ll have to say we’ve had a lot of beautiful ones but the morning that we got the wake-up call that we had sold out the Ryman was probably, hands down, my favorite of the whole year,” she said. Though they weren’t able to get all of their friends into the show in time, they said they did snatch up one ticket for their grandmother, who will no doubt be proud of her three talented grandchildren as they command such an historic venue.
