Thank You, XL Nation, From Dave & Ally!

Words fail us. Sentences fail us. All we can seem to say when talking about our St. Jude Country Cares Radiothon last week is WOW!

Last Thursday & Friday, the XL Nation made history by donating $151,362 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. That amount has never been done in the 15-some years that XL Country has hosted the radiothon. It's a staggering amount for a community of our size.

Yes, we (Dave & Ally) hosted it and we're the face of it, but the XL Nation, as you always do, did the real work. You picked up the phone and became Partner's in Hope in record numbers for St. Jude. Because of you, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital can continue their mission of wiping out cancer, so that no child dies in the dawn of life.

From the bottom of our hearts we say, Thank You! Thank you to our dozens of volunteers who spent hours manning our phone bank, community partners who sponsored our radiothon, and not only that, wrote checks and answered phones. We would also like to thank Dave and our head shaving buddies who have shaved heads for St. Jude at the Filling Station in Bozeman for almost the entire time we've been holding our Radiothon.

In addition, we would also like to thank Jesse James, who again shaved his head in honor of St. Jude (this year into a Mohawk), took a turn on the phones, and did everything we asked him to do so that we had more time to concentrate on our jobs. Also, thank you to our digital guru, Allen Stirrett! Allen took our radiothon to social media and the web. Can't wait to show you his video footage that he shot during the two days.

Our sales staff led by Ann Ledon was amazing, coordinating our community partners, and finally, we cannot hand out enough appreciation to Coury & Lina, our St. Jude representatives, who encouraged us, made sure we were fed and hydrated, and basically held our hands through the 24-hours of broadcasting. They are special and lovely people inside and out.

It was a community effort as it always is! Thank you to everyone who was involved. It was your contributions that made the XL Country 2019 St. Jude Country Cares Radio truly an historic event!
