Our Tarantino's Player of The Week is #86 Tanner Bleskin, a junior wide receiver from Great Falls!

Bleskin was named MSU’s Hayden Ferguson Academic Award winner in the spring, and is the team’s X receiver… nearing the 1,000-yard receiving mark in his career.

In 2011, he started all 13 games for the Bobcats as a sophomore… was second on the team with 417 receiving yards and three touchdown catches… season high 80 yards against Minot State… posted two five-catch games (Utah, Minot)… Academic All-Big Sky.

In 2010, he rolled up 457 receiving yards, second-best season ever by a Bobcat freshman… his yardage total and 30 catches both stood as third-best totals on the Bobcat squad a… earned Honorable Mention All-Big Sky honors… caught career-high nine passes for 158 yards at Idaho State.

Bleskin was High School A multi-sport standout at Great Falls CM Russell High, where he helped lead the Rustlers to a state basketball title… earned all-state honors in football and basketball, and was a baseball standout for the Great Falls Stallions American Legion squad… an academic all-state choice… chosen for Montana East-West Shrine Game in football and Montana-Wyoming All-Star game in hoops.

Academics A microbiology major.

Personal Born Tanner Joseph Bleskin on July 1, 1990… one of two children of Dan and Peggy Bleskin… his father and an uncle, Dave Bleskin, played football at Carroll College… former prep teammates include University of Minnesota baseball player Dan Olinger, UM-Western gridder Alex Waltari, and MSU-Northern football player Josh Wilson.
