Did you ever have a teacher that you still remember and admire? Mine is in St. Louis. Mr. Povich. I'll never forget this guy, ever. He was the consumate educator. Took time to really explain things. Didn't just write on the board, and expect it to get done by so and so time and date. Although he never won Teacher of the Year titles, he did with me. Bozeman has a great one up for Teacher of the Year:

Gotta Love An Extra Day

So this year we get an extra day (or 3!) to file our income taxes! YAY! Why? Because Friday the 15th is Emancipation Day, a little-known Washington, D.C., holiday that celebrates the freeing of slaves in the district.

I've never been one to wait until the last day, but have several friends who do that...do you? This year should be pretty interesting for us tax wise. Two jobs, two states, moving and all that stuff. If you do wait until the last minute, make sure you have everything postmarked by midnight on Monday April 18th this year.

The MSU Bobcat football team likely has a post-season playoff spot already locked up. It doesn't matter. The Montana Grizzlies likely need to win in tomorrow's game to advance to the post season. That doesn't matter. The forecast for game time is snow. Nope, doesn't matter. The Bobcats are ranked 8th in the nation in this week's poll, and the Grizzlies are ranked 11th. That doesn't matter either.

As we approach the big Cat/Griz Game this weekend, it's the Bobcats that hold a higher ranking. But will these rankings mean anything when the players leave it all on the Gridiron?

Most likely not, because the blood runs much deeper than mere numbers in this rivalry. One thing is for sure—the game will live up to the rivalry right from the opening kickoff and we wouldn't miss it for the world.
