January 18, 2011 I don’t even try to fib about it…I love reality TV. And my favorite is any of the Real Housewives series. I don’t care it’s probably set up, I don’t care that it’s trash TV, I am addicted. It looks like I am now alone!
Do You Watch?
We all make mistakes. Occasionally things go wrong. Sometimes it’s our fault. Other times there’s nothing we could have done to prevent it. Now I’m not one to often compliment the airline industry, but this weekend Delta impressed me on my trip back from Memphis.
Our minds are a lot like computers. Every now and then we need to restart our machines. Clean out the clutter, delete old unused files, remove viruses. Whenever a computer in our office is having a problem, the first thing our IT Director will ask is, "Did you reboot?" And yes, that actually work most of the time.
I love Southwest Montana. It is my home, and I want the very best for it. It is unique, beautiful, and full of good energy. Great people, schools, businesses. Really, we live in one of the truly special places. There has been a big push here in Bozeman for the past few years to 'Shop Local.' I get it. The thought is that locally based businesses care more about our community and employ local people.
Do you have any tattoos? I have none. Not a fan at least for me. I think some look great on others. Country music stars have tattoos all over. Take a look.
January 13, 2011 Let me just say this, I am not a great cook. I cook from my heart – but if that’s the way you describe your skills you know you’re bad! My 3 aunts got a big kick out of my lack of culinary knowledge during one of my early trips home after moving away to college
So, my wife Lori and I are still unpacking "stuff" from our move. Actually SHE is doing most of it. We are setting her up a craft room where she can go and well, do whatever crafters do! :P I'm finding all kinds of things...stuff I'm not sure should have been included in the move. But some of it is cherished. Do you have keepsakes that you can and will not ever get rid of? I found a fun personality test based on what kind of stuff you keep:
I was having a cocktail with a friend the other night, and we were talking about life stuff. He was asking some questions about my medical adventures of the past eight years, and commented that he was amazed at what a positive attitude I had about it all. I told him that there had been a few days along the we way when he wouldn't have categorized me as positive. And I took a sip of scotch.
Have you ever seen Taylor in concert? It is truly incredible! She did a small intimate thirty minute concert for a few Taylor Superfans in The Ed Sullivan Theater In New York, and we have it for you now! :) Enjoy!
A lot of what I do has me communicating on a daily basis with people in other parts of the country. From New York and Arizona, to Billings and Missoula. Phone calls, email, text messages, internet, webinars, (and yes, still faxes from time to time).
Did you ever have a teacher that you still remember and admire? Mine is in St. Louis. Mr. Povich. I'll never forget this guy, ever. He was the consumate educator. Took time to really explain things. Didn't just write on the board, and expect it to get done by so and so time and date. Although he never won Teacher of the Year titles, he did with me. Bozeman has a great one up for Teacher of the Year:
