Separated and missing skiers, overdue snowmobiles and a personal locator emergency beacon activation kept Sheriff’s SAR teams working Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon.

The Gallatin County Commission has issued a resolution declaring Gallatin County to have Stage One Fire Restrictions. This means you can not conduct any activities that may cause fires which includes Fireworks. During the 4th of July, this ban will be lifted unless conditions change. It's important to note that cities can still declare their own restrictions.
Starting Monday September 12th, the Gallatin City-County Health Department will be holding walk-in flu clinics on Mondays from 2pm to 6pm and Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 11:30am, excluding holidays.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices now recommends that all persons age 6 months and older receive a yearly flu vaccination
An early morning armed stand-off west of Belgrade has resulted in the fatal shooting of the suspect. The Gallatin County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident along with the Montana Department of Criminal Investigation.
The current Flu activity level in Montana is listed by the CDC as "sporadic," and Gallatin County leads the way with more than ten officially confirmed cases. Common flu symptoms include a fever higher than 100-degrees, headache & muscle aches, chills, cough, and runny nose. There's good news; it's not too late to get vaccinated.
