Montana Fires Football Coach And Athletic Director – Update

4:11pm - This is the latest from The University Of Montana:

UM president Royce Engstrom said the university “has determined not to renew the contracts” of O’Day and Pflugrad. “We thank Jim and Robin for their dedicated service to the university, and we wish them the best.”

He released no further explanation for the men’s dismissal.

This controversy is making national news. Do the Grizzlies need to turn to former coach Don Read for guidance?

11:55am - The University of Montana has fired athletic director Jim O’Day and head football coach Robin Pflugrad.

Hell hath no fury like a scorned ghostwriter.

So learned Mark Davidson, an “internet sales and marketing professional” with more than 56,000 followers. His bio also says he “write a lot of things to amuse myself and others” and that he sometimes has “deep thoughts.”

Only it turns out he’s not the one writing the amusing things or having the deep thoughts — those are coming from an alleged staff of Twitter ghostwriters.
